Hand carved linden wood, polished, oiled.

The simple looking body has it all. The corner joints are fully concealed dovetailed prongs. Except for the hinge, no metal is used.

The main body is made of pine, the handles were turned from cherry wood. The fillings are made of maple decorated with notch carving. Polished, oiled, waxed.

This little friend was washed up on the Baltic Sea shore near Kiel, caught in a piece of driftwood. After his liberation, he now smiles at everyone who turns towards him. :)

This approx. 35 cm tall kneeling female figure wants to be an expression of everything in us that strives for higher things. She is also an expression of the inner beauty that lives in each of us, if we stop once, become still and absorb the wonders of nature in us. The figure was a commission from my father for a birthday gift.
